Shut-off valves Descaling

Shut-off valves block a flow and isolate a downstream line from the prevailing pressure. They are often used for maintenance purposes when system parts need to be depressurised. Other applications include draining (depressurising) a line. Larger shut-off valves are often controlled by an electric actuator with a manual gearbox so that they can always be opened manually.
